Raising the Standard of Services
A key way in which businesses are able to ensure that their internal systems and operational processes are healthy is by making sure they comply with industry standards. Their industry standards provide them with the basis to run their organisation with quality and excellence.
The Australian health care sector is regulated by a number of specific standards, which take into account the particular needs of specialist areas. These standards are unique to Australia and are continually reviewed and refreshed to make sure they stay relevant to a dynamic and ever-changing industry.
In addition, many healthcare organisations are assessed against the international standard ISO: 9001 – Quality Management Systems. This is a generic standard which is the most commonly used globally to benchmark quality products and healthy management systems.
